Meet Scout — A Little Dog With a Big Heart! Scout is a 12-pound poodle mix, estimated to be around 3–4 years old, who is ready to leave his difficult past behind and start the next chapter of his life with a family of his own. Scout was found running the streets with no microchip, and sadly, no owner ever came forward to claim him. When he arrived, he was in pretty rough shape. His coat was severely matted and covered in fleas, so he had to be shaved down completely to give him the fresh start he desperately needed. He also had a gash on his head that required stitches, which our veterinarian took care of while Scout was under anesthesia for his neuter. 

Since coming into our care, Scout has had his wellness exam, been neutered, and received his vaccinations. With the proper care and a little time, this sweet boy is beginning to show us just how special he is. And what a personality he has! Scout is playful, affectionate, and absolutely loves his toys. He enjoys spending time with other dogs and is happy to have canine friends around. But when playtime is over, Scout is more than ready to curl up with his people. He is a cuddly little guy who loves being pet and soaking up affection. It is hard to imagine that this sweet, loving dog was once wandering the streets, matted, covered in fleas, and carrying an untreated injury. 

Scout didn't deserve to be forgotten, and now he has the opportunity to find the loving home he should have had all along. Scout is looking for someone who will cherish him, keep him safe, and show him that he is finally home.
